Huddersfield Town v Tottenham Hotspur Betting Tips – 30th September 2017

Last weekend saw Tottenham Hotspur travel to the London Stadium in the lunchtime kick off and they are on their travels once again this week. Maurico Pochettino's side head to Huddersfield Town for the first time ever in a Premier League fixture in this weekend's early kick off.

Whilst Spurs' Wembley woes have been much publicised, they have been impressive on the road so far this term. Away at West Ham they were in control until Serge Aurier was dismissed and the Ivorian full back will be out for the trip to West Yorkshire.

If Huddersfield are to get a win under their belts then they will have to keep Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane all quiet which is certainly no easy task. That said, the Terriers have made a bright start to life in the top flight and they head into this match on the back of a 0-0 draw with Burnley. An away trip to Turf Moor is never an easy assignment and David Wagner's side would have been happy enough with the point. Should they get a point this weekend, we are sure they'd be absolutely over the moon.

Betting Predictions

  • Tottenham Hotspur to win - It looks as though this year's Premier League title will be heading to Manchester on current form but if Spurs are to have a say in it then they will need to win games like these. They do have an away trip to Cyprus during the week to contend with, but they should have enough about them to recover from that. An away win comes in at2/5 with BetVictor.
  • Under 2.5 goals - Huddersfield are a well drilled side and they won't make life easy for Spurs at the John Smith's Stadium. However, we can't see them getting a goal against a side who have been one of the best defensive outfits in the league over recent seasons. We reckon Spurs will win by a handful of goals and you can get under 2.5 at 6/5 with Betfair.
  • Tottenham Hotspur to keep a clean sheet - One of Tottenham's main strengths in recent times has been their back four or five and they have some of the best defenders in the league. Heading to Huddersfield, they will be confident that they can get a clean sheet under their belts. Town aren't blessed with brilliant attackers and Spurs should have enough about them to protect Hugo Lloris. An away clean sheet is priced at even money with Betfred.
  • Harry Kane to score the first goal - There really is only one option for first goal scorer in this one and it's Spurs' homegrown hero. Kane has been in electric form so far this season and opened the scoring last week with a well taken header against the Hammers. He will cause Town plenty of problems and you can get the 24 year old to get things going on Saturday at 21/10 with BetVictor.
