Sky Bet Review

Aesthetically there are few betting sites that look as good as Sky Bet. Those familiar with the company Sky probably wouldn’t expect anything less however. But still, even with that taken into account it looks superb. It’s hard to explain why though, as when we flick through the site and really get down to detail it’s not really that flash. But it’s possibly that simplicity that makes the site tick, and usability within the betting industry is massive for bookmakers.

Sky Bet has big advantage over many of their rivals in the form of them being able to sync their site into the Sky Sports channels that they run via their satellite company. It all seems to inter-link nicely especially with the likes of the Sky Bet betting app, Sky Sports App, Soccer Saturday App and even Sky Go allowing you to watch sky sports on your mobile. If there was a betting site that was ‘on-the-go’ then this would be it.

What we love about the site is the depth of Sky Bet. We’re talking in terms of both sports and market coverage for each sport; it’s simply superb. It’s easy for bookmakers to promote sports and then provide a pitiful amount of markets but make it look from their homepage that they cover loads of bases. Clicking on some of the smaller sports on any betting site will give a good indication as to the overall depth of the site, with Sky Bet scoring very well in this area. If we take their Aussie Rules section – which doesn’t have a great following in the UK – then you will be met with around 10 markets ranging from Grand Final winner, Top 8 finish, Coleman Medal, Brownlow Medal and much more. 10 markets may not seem a lot, but for a sport with little to no following in their target area, then it’s a good amount.

There are tons of little features which make Sky Bet work so well. Things such as their horse racing form guides, betting calculators, form & stats section, mobile ready, loyalty offers and even the integration with their poker, casino and bingo sites which all amalgamate into making Sky Bet such a brilliant gambling portal. The one niggle we would have would be on their welcome bonus where the maximum you can pick up is £15 (combined). The only drawback comes for the bigger players who are starved somewhat of a good bonus amount, but on the other hand for people starting out on limited bankrolls their no deposit bonus is without the best in the industry. I guess it just shows how hard it is to please every party.
